Why is the hotel called “Rex”?
Our name was inspired by a symbol: the Italian ocean liner Rex, an icon of elegance, speed, and modernity in the 1930s. It was the pride of our country, awarded the famous Blue Ribbon for the fastest Atlantic crossing. Today, that dream lives on here, every time we welcome a new guest.

How long has the hotel been around?
Since 1956. Three generations later, we still host guests who have known us since they were children. This is our greatest pride.

Who will welcome me at the Rex?
Our family, or those who have been working with us for many years. We call each other by name and remember yours. Here, hospitality is about relationships, not procedures.

What makes a stay at the Rex special?
The atmosphere. Here you can slow down, enjoy genuine care, gaze at the sea, and live a story. Every gesture is simple, every detail has meaning: for those who seek warmth, simplicity, and memories, the Rex is the perfect place.

Where We Are

Is the hotel really by the sea?
Yes. Here, the sea is more than a view – it’s the daily heartbeat of Hotel Rex. Just cross the beautiful promenade, and your feet are in the sand.

Are we close to the center?
Just a few minutes’ walk from the vibrant heart of Riccione, yet far enough to enjoy the slower, more intimate pace of the beach area.

What can you do in Riccione?
From strolls along Viale Ceccarini to beach days, from local markets to theme parks and sunsets at the harbor – we’ll be happy to give you personal tips once you arrive.

How do I get to the hotel?
We are easy to reach: Riccione train station is less than 2 km away, and Rimini airport is only a 10-minute drive. Upon request, we can arrange a private transfer or suggest the most convenient option, whether you arrive by train, plane, or car. If you need detailed directions, we’re happy to help before your departure.

Booking and Stay

How can I book directly with you?
Through our official website, or by contacting us via email, phone, or WhatsApp. We always respond personally – happy to get to know you even before you arrive.

Is a deposit required?
Yes, we ask for a small deposit of 25% to confirm your booking.

What are your cancellation policies?
The deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 20 days before arrival. After that, please still contact us – we’ll find the best solution together. All terms are always clearly communicated at the time of booking.

Can I change the dates of my stay?
Yes, subject to availability. We just ask that you let us know as soon as possible.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards (except American Express), debit cards, and checks (if notified upon arrival). And if you give us a smile, we always appreciate it – even though, for now, we can’t consider it official currency!

Check-in and Check-out

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is guaranteed from 1:00 PM, but if your room is ready earlier, we’ll be happy to give it to you sooner. Check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you’d like to leave your luggage to enjoy a little more time at the beach, no problem – we’ll take care of it.

Is it possible to arrive early or leave later?
If we can accommodate it, we’re happy to offer an early arrival or relaxed departure. Just ask.

Do you have parking?
Yes, we offer paid parking exclusively for our guests. We have several options, varying by distance and type: some spaces are close to the hotel, others a little further away; some are guarded, others unguarded. We’ll gladly advise you on the most convenient option based on availability.

Rooms and Comfort

What rooms do you offer?
Cozy rooms, most with sea views, designed for true relaxation. Every detail reflects us, our history, and our desire to make you feel good. The room names are inspired by the travel classes of the great ships of the past – an elegant nod to our maritime inspiration and the ocean liner from which it all began.

Do the rooms have air conditioning and a minibar?
Yes. And of course, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Do you have connecting rooms or family rooms?
We offer spacious solutions, perfect for parents and children. Family is our key word.

Do you provide baby accessories or solutions for guests with disabilities?
We provide cots, bed rails, high chairs, and other accessories for little ones, to make the stay comfortable for families. However, we want to be transparent: the lobby is only accessible via a staircase of 13 steps, and we currently do not have fully equipped rooms for guests with mobility impairments.

Are the rooms cleaned daily?
Of course. If you’d like to help us reduce environmental impact, we invite you not to leave towels on the floor – this way, we’ll consider them still in use and won’t replace them.

Dining

What is your restaurant like?
It’s the place where tradition, seasonality, and simplicity meet every day. We serve with care at the table, and our dishes change according to the market’s freshness and family recipes.

What kind of cuisine do you offer?
Every day we offer four different menus to suit the tastes and habits of every guest. Fresh fish, meat, vegetarian dishes, and simple, tasty options for children are always available. Everything is prepared with quality ingredients and the same care we give our own family.

Breakfast?
Every day starts with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warmth of our homemade cakes. You’ll also find fresh fruit, savory options, choices for intolerances, and a selection of packaged products for guests with celiac disease. However, our kitchen is not certified completely gluten-free.

If I choose half board, can I decide daily whether to have lunch or dinner?
Yes, absolutely. Each day you can freely choose whether to have lunch or dinner – just let us know a little in advance so we can prepare everything perfectly.

Do you cater to special dietary needs?
Yes, we are happy to cook for vegetarians, celiacs, or guests with intolerances. However, we do not have a certified gluten-free kitchen.

Is a packed lunch available?
Of course! If you plan an excursion or a beach day, we can prepare a packed lunch. Just let us know by the evening before so we have time to prepare.

Is there a bar?
Yes, a space with a sea view to relax, chat, or enjoy a drink. A cozy, quiet corner – just like your living room at home… but with the sea in front of you.

Beach and Sea

How far is the beach?
Right in front of you – literally. Cross the promenade and your feet are in the sand.

Is it included in the price?
It depends on the package: some offers include it, in other cases it can be added. We work with well-equipped and historic beach clubs.

Can I reserve a front-row spot?
Yes, if available. We recommend requesting it at the time of booking. The surcharge for front-row seats is paid directly to the lifeguard.

Is the beach equipped for children?
Yes, you’ll find play areas and spaces designed for little ones – and of course, a sea full of freedom. A heated pool (for a fee) is also available for alternating dips and relaxation.

Family Services

Do you have children’s menus or flexible meal times?
Yes. We always pay special attention to our little guests. No problem to serve a dish earlier or adapt it to their needs: we want them to feel at home, even at the table.

Do you provide baby accessories?
Strollers, bottle warmers, baby baths – just ask. We like to help you travel lighter.

Are there play areas?
No baby club: here children play freely, barefoot, between the sea, sand, and shared time.

Animation?
The real animation is done by the families themselves.

Philosophy and Holiday Style

Why don’t you offer animation?
Because we believe in holidays where families spend time together. Where smiles meet at the table, on the beach, on walks. No schedules, just freedom.

What does “family holiday” mean to you?
It means having time. For the children, for yourself, for simple and real things. Here, there’s no rushing – here, you breathe.

Activities and Experiences

What can we do with children during the stay?
From the beach to walks, boat trips to creative workshops organized with local partners. Ask us – we’ll help you create your best time.

Are there shared moments between families?
Sometimes, an evening in the garden, a card game, or a special snack becomes the perfect moment to meet other families. The best things here happen spontaneously – no planning needed.

Extra Services and Mobility

Do you have bicycles?
Yes, free of charge: perfect for a relaxing ride along the promenade or to reach the center in a few minutes.

Do you organize excursions or activities?
We collaborate with local partners to offer authentic experiences: boat trips, tastings, and excursions through hills and small villages.

Do you accept pets?
We love animals and want every guest – human or four-legged – to have a pleasant stay. That’s why we welcome one small dog at a time and only in certain periods (May and after September 10, excluding peak season), to ensure comfort and peace for everyone.
